About Robin

Art in motion since childhood has been at the center of Robin Cohen’s career with her love for dance and nature. She now fashions those two passions into stone to express the beauty she sees that she has always wanted to share with others. Having been a professional dancer, and still working as a painter and sketch artist, Robin most loves  carving those subtle dances of nature into forms frozen in time from her own life experiences. As a mother of two beautiful daughters, who, like nature reflect its grace; she remembers the beautiful places in her own childhood living in San Fernando Valley during her high school and college years honing her skills.

Tutored by the Master sculptor Michele Chapin of Ventura, Robin’s talent for carving showed immediately by her selling her very first piece of work when it was barely finished.

TESTIMONIAL FROM RON B.

We are all so ecstatic with the drawing of Prince, and cannot wait to get it professionally matted and framed. You have an incredible talent, and have truly captured a great expression. My wife and kids are crazy about it, and they’ve already had a heated debate as to whose room it will go in! We compromised, and decided to hang it in the family room for all to share. I’ll send you a photo once we get it back from the framer.

TESTIMONIAL FROM JEANNE M.

I found it to be a pleasure working with Robin, on a special commission portrait of my beloved Jack Russel dog Jackie-O. Robin was very professional, as well as very creative and finished the beautiful pastel drawing ahead of schedule. Robin is a very gifted artist and was able to capture the true spirit and personality of Jackie-O.  I will forever cherish this unique and very personal work of art.  Thank You!
